You will write a 5 paragraph essay analyzing the primary sources. You need to discuss how the primary sources relate or not relate to social responsibility. Below are the directions and the assigned sources. You may the text book as well. Do not use any sources outside of the assigned readings; this is not a research paper.
First read the following website about understanding primary sources on the William and Mary site: http://www.wm.edu/as/history/undergraduateprogram/hwrc/handouts/primarysources/index.php. This website discusses aspects of your primary source such as audience, author, and language that lead you to analysis. Then read the chapter from the text book that relates to the documents. Read the documents and take notes on them to answer each aspect of analysis. Address the questions from the website for each document. The chart below is a link to the primary sources you will be analyzing. Explain specifically how the documents relate or not relate to a specific aspect of the theme, social responsibility. Turn in the assignment as a hard copy.
