Film/movie: Locate and view a movie that is at least 90 minutes in length.
Concept: Select two concepts from our first 7 chapters, for a total of 14 concepts. Note: “Concepts or principles” are items that are bolded in the chapter, e.g., sample concepts from chapter one include interdependence (pg. 3), bidirectionality (pg. 4), interpersonal relationships (pg. 5), etc.
Definition: Define each concept
Application: “Apply” these concept to your movie, i.e., find places in the movie where these concepts are portrayed/shown/demonstrated.

CHAPTER 1: Love and Why It Matters?
1. Concept : Intimate Relationship (pg. 25)
Definition : “A relationship characterized by strong, sustained, mutual influence over a broad range of interactions, with the possibility of sexual involvement.
Application (at least 50 words; bold the concept in this section, too): Susan is a very good student, but she believes only “nerds” are good students, and athletes are simply “the best” and never date nerds! However, John asked her on a date in their junior year, and they have been dating ever since. Now, they have a very close, intimate relationship but they have not been sexually involved. However, the prom is approaching and some of their friends have been talking about having their first sexual experience that night. Susan is confused and just does not know what to do.
