The aim of the essay is to Critically think about the metaphor of ‘belonging’.
How has the idea of ‘belonging’ been used/and or contested (challenged) for understanding youth realities/worlds;

How does it shape the trajectories (path), taken up by young people and the strategies(approaches) they use to make sense of and navigate constraints(restrictions) and possibilities (opportunities);

How do we account for some young people using strategies that are socially condoned (disregarded and ignored) strategies and processes, and some young people may use illicit (criminal), damaging and antisocial strategies and processes?
