For this assignment, you will choose to modify one of your previous essays into a blog . This does not mean to take a 2,000-word paper and cut off 1,000 words, but to illustrate you know how to revise one of your more academic assignments to fit another medium and for a different audience.
Tip: Use the blogging PowerPoint to learn how to organize your blog, determine the audience, pick a catchy headline/title, as well as learn how to wrap text around your embedded image.
Blog requirements:
Be a minimum of 700 words, but no more than 1000
Use at least 3 hyperlinks (not URLs in the text) but no more than 5
Include at least one image
Have a title or headline (aka not “Blog Assignment”)
Remember: Blogs usually contain a hook, introduction, a promise or problem to be solved, uses emotional appeals, cites experts, gives advice or provides solutions, has a call to action and conclusion.
