cultural customs

Instructions
Bereavement is the period of sadness after losing a loved one through death. Grief and mourning occur during the period of bereavement.

Grief and mourning are closely related. Mourning is the way we show grief in public. The way people mourn is affected by beliefs, religious practices, and cultural customs. People who are grieving are sometimes described as bereaved.

Grief or bereavement theories are the generalized maps in helping people to heal. Each theory is an attempt by a caring investigator to understand and guide the bereaved through their pain. However, humans are unique and cannot be forced into particular patterns of behavior. They will travel through grief at their own speed using the most appropriate route for them.

Please choose one of the grief theorists below and research the following:

The theorist I chose is Alan Wolfelt. Research the following:

-Theorist.
-His/her education and experience.
-Primary focus of study.
-Outline of their theory of grief including steps/tasks if any.
-Your opinion about this theory and whether you feel it would be helpful or unhelpful to you in a time of loss.
-Your critique of this theory positive or negative
