AL CAPONE

In a written report explain the following (use as headings in your paper):
1. The external or environmental factors (social) that might be relevant in the etiology of the perpetrator’s criminal behavior. Also, be sure to mention how diversity variables (e.g. culture, SES, identity, health) may have impacted the case subject.

2. The internal factors (biological, affective, cognitive [bio-psychological]) that might be relevant in the etiology of the perpetrator’s criminal behavior.

3. The different theoretical perspectives which might be applicable to this particular case and how they apply. You can choice one (or more) theory and apply it to the case (e.g. psychodynamic-“this person’s behavior may be a result of strong Id impulses with an undeveloped “Superego”…etc.).

4 References are expected for this case paper but watch use of web-page citations. Research articles and books as references will help you get more points. Wikipedia and like web sites are not acceptable references in an academic paper. One can use the listed web-sites for the background research on the persons (subject) of your profile—but theory section references should be from good peer-reviewed references such as an academic book or article.

 Week 4 Case Analysis requires application of one theory to the subject-case.
o Remember these papers are to answer the question of “WHY” did this person do what they did? What caused it? What were the critical psychological events or processes that laid the foundation for their acts. Should they be held criminally responsible for their actions?

5. The complete DSM diagnosis you would assign for this particular case.
6. What preventative actions or treatment approaches may have made a difference in this case? Be sure to cite relevant literature if possible
