Write about your view of public health preparedness and its importance to US national security. Then describe public health preparedness activities and the types of careers and roles public health professionals play in preparedness for and response to public health emergencies. Identify 5 public health preparedness and response competencies for emergency management and briefly explain how the specific knowledge and skills competencies you selected are relevant to public health emergency management.
