TLS dimension –OEC, Profit & Planet
Your task as a student is to study the dimension assigned to you in full using the OEC, and to prepare a short (max 10 min.) presentation for seminar 2. More specifically, in applying the OEC to Aquis you are requested to specify under ‘processes’ which processes are proposed in Aquis’ plan to create value on a triple P bottom line; and under ‘measures ’to list how Aquis intends to report on the processes’ outcomes. In the presentation you are expected to share relevant information on the indicators of the dimension assigned to you in the context of the Aquis case. Take care during this exercise to look not only at the data for a specific year but also at trends over time. For example, if you are assigned to student A or B, you will investigate profit indicators such as expected returns from the leisure activities (such as the golf course, the cinema ,and the stadium); expected returns from room rental and so on. You will look at the figures for the years up to 15/04/2016 and use figures from after this date as projections of future developments / trends. If you do not find enough relevant information in the published documents, please propose what you consider to be the best option. For example, if you are student Bunder processes you may consider Aquis’ building plans and their impact on the environment. If there is not enough information in the documents published by Aquis, then you may propose what you consider to be the best option for sustainable buildings. Take care in this case to clearly state that this is your proposal, not necessarily Aquis’ plans. Please make use of the literature mentioned under lecture 2 but also be aware that you will need to look for more sources. Remember to show all your sources in the presentation. The envisioned outcome of the seminar is an Aquis-specific version of the OEC, with indicators pertaining to the organizational level of the TLSby adding up all the information found by all students
