The High Incarceration Rate Is Frequently Known as the Cause of Inmate Infirmity, Misconduct, and Post Release Recidivism

Recidivism is encouraged by several factors upon re-entry into society. The high incarceration rate is a factor since people will be motivated to get into more crimes and misconducts. The high incarceration rate positively impacts the increased rate of misconduct, recidivism, and inmate infirmity.

The article talks about the impact of determinate punishment and the impact on inmate misconduct. When one is incarcerated on several occasions, they tend to engage in more misconduct and getting into trouble. The punishments make the inmates not abide y the institutional rules, which also increases recidivism rates.
