SHAPE OF ESSAY:
Five paragraphs, each of which is well-developed (follow the sample essay / advice in the text, pp. 1,613 – 1,618).
MLA-formatted (see samples in your textbook).
Include both primary and secondary quotes (primary is from the stories, secondary is something from the AVL / another trusted source.) Do not use Shmoop, Sparknotes, eNotes, and other such websites that feature advertising. Use the AVL.
Be sure to include a Works Cited page.
Insert a clear thesis at the bottom of the introduction and use strong topic sentences (body paragraphs) to connect things together.
Submit by the deadline, with an acceptable percentage match. (Usually, this is 15% – 20%.)
