This assignment is to complete a demographic analysis of one country in the world. I hope you will learn something about this country, its history, and its people, yet the most important part of the assignment is demonstrating the understanding of key measures of fertility, mortality, migration and other demographic variables.

Part I. General Information and Fertility

The first part of the assignment will deal with the location of the country, something about its history and government, how large its population is relative to those of its neighbors, and its fertility.

Part II. Mortality

In the second part of your assignment, discuss mortality indicators for your country and also what they might mean in terms of the health of the country. If possible, see if you can find COVID-19 information about your country. The Johns Hopkins University COVID dashboard is a valuable resource.

Part III. Migration, urbanization, and age structure.

The third part of your assignment will deal with measures of migration (if available) and age structure.
