Speed Light Travel

-Statement of Purpose
This research is focused to demonstrate the consequences of the speed of light travel in science and engineering. Showing the possible outcomes that would develop based on science fiction movies and science peer-review articles. Is there any limit of speed travel for an object in universe? Or How does the speed of light affect our lives? These questions are very difficult and interesting to analyze from a speculative point of view. Since most scientist have stated that light speed is a limit that any mass-body cannot ever reach, the idea of skyrockets travelling in universe sounds like a fairytale. However, these theories did not represent a barrier to SF writers and film producers. They have been showing to the society some of the possible effects of the light speed break. For instance, we have observed many movies and books in the past decades where they show rockets travelling through wormholes or new alternate dimensions where the light speed is not barrier anymore.
-Significance
Physics and science in general have been taught that travelling beyond the speed of light would not be possible. However, many scientific articles and also science fiction projects suggest different approaches. These facts are the main reasons of this research in addition of my curiosity about Special Relativity theory. In fact, theoretical physics is one of my passions besides engineering and my intention to develop this project is to answer my questions and students that share my point of view. This research paper is not intended to general audience but to people with some physics background; however, it may catch the attention of science fiction lovers as well. Our knowledge is limited and we may have a wrong or incomplete theory that needs time to be developed or redesigned. According to the professor Hannes Alfven, the great magnetic and plasma fields are just important as gravity as prime movers in the creation of galaxies, solar systems and planets. This fact would let us consider that an object might travel faster than speed of light in our future. Being able to reach velocities higher than speed of light might let us travel to other galaxies in a short period of time and understand how the nature is related with time (if there are other parameters that affect its behavior in space). My personal approach is that time cannot be a limitation in nature because it would make no sense to travel decades just to know the solar system. For instance, human will not ever be possible to see other solar systems or galaxies. My final research project intention is to show the academic public that science is dynamic and is in constant change; moreover, to promote the scientific literacy in our school. This paper would create a precedence in terms of our future technology.
