Research Paper
. The year is 1946. The war has just ended and you have landed a job writing a short, three-page article for the well-respected literary and cultural commentary magazine, The Atlantic. Your editor is a stickler for deadlines and demands that you turn in your writing no later than the end of the day on March 2!
The editor wants a clear and concise article that identifies the three major developments in U.S. History between 1900 and 1945. The editor knows you are an historian and that you have lots and lots of primary sources to work with. The editor expects you to write about American foreign policy as well as major changes in American life.
Be sure to demonstrate close familiarity with material from the textbook, and ESPECIALLY the primary source readings. DO NOT simply summarize the textbook. Your thesis will be the three major developments in U.S. History between 1900 and 1945 that you identify.
