Research Title – An investigation into the impact that certified green buildings have on their operating income and market value.

Primary Hypothesis – Green buildings have an increased market value and operating income, in comparison to similar non-Green buildings.

My dissertation proposal needs to require an: Introduction, Literature review, Hypothesis ( I have already set these out so not much work needs to be done here), and a Methods review.

I would like you to primarily focus on the Introduction and the Literature review.

A bit about my topic: I am focusing on how market value and operating income is affected in a building by if it is a certified green building or not (Certified by Professional property rating standards). I will test the questions and the hypothesis using qualitative primary data by researching market values and operating income of similar buildings (One being a certified new green building, one an average build and another an old build with poor energy standards) all within the same postcode.

I have attached examples, one which I did that gained a 45%, another that was a top example given by my lecturer, and another document that was the feedback I received on my 45% proposal. Hopefully, these documents will help you more, but will also show you the layout that I described from my institution.
