Problem-Response Paper – The reliability and trustworthiness of the Gospels and Acts

Reliability and Trustworthiness of the Gospels and Acts in the Bible.

The paper is to respond to the current widespread belief that the

Gospels and Acts are largely fiction/myth. The paper can be written to someone, who

is skeptical about the historical reliability of the Gospels and Acts. In the introduction, describe the

paper’s objective and the media form of presentation the paper will use (e.g., paper, project, blog,

letters, bulletin inserts, etc.). The body of the paper should demonstrate (1) a good understanding of

the critical issues involved and interaction with secondary sources, (2) why belief that the Gospels

and Acts are both historically and theologically trustworthy documents is most plausible according

to the NT evidence, and (3) the ability to restate rather complex issues in terms that an inquiring

Christian adult layperson can understand. Interact with at least twelve bibliography in the paper.

The body of the paper should look and develop these points:

  1. Eyewitness Testimony b. Age of Disproof c. Resurrection/Miracles and Apostleship d.  Relationship of Theology to History e.  Knowledge of What Makes Good Evidence f.  Testimony of Early Church Fathers g.  Archaeology

Must include the following sources:
