- Soviet Union was trying to spread their ideas of communism around the world, as the same time the U.S. was trying to spread their form of government.
- The Truman doctrine
- The red scare- how is the red scare still used today (Origins of the cold war)
- The fear of another world war III, happened both while soviet Union and America fought for their ideas for government moved; this also occurs today with America to fight to seize North Korea
- Conclusion- restate thesis: America still feels threatened that Communism will spread because of North Korea. They are slowly trying to make peace with North Korea in hopes that they will kill off communism.
- America is currently trying to end communism in North Korea as they tried to with Soviet Union
