Nalo Hopkinson’s Brown Girl in the Ring ends with the Premier of Ontario having a change of hea

Nalo Hopkinson’s Brown Girl in the Ring ends with the Premier of Ontario having a change of heart (haha), devising a plan to offer interest-free loans to small businesses in the Burn, such as that run by the main character, Ti-Jeanne.

Using 7 to 9 pages (1800-2400 words), and drawing from the novel and the assigned readings for this course, write an essay that details what you imagine happened in Brown Girl’s fictional universe after the end of the novel’s narrative. What effect would the Premier’s new policies have had on life in the Burn and in the suburbs? Which existing issues would be transformed by these policies? Which issues would persist?

Due April 10th, 4 pm.

APA FORMAT (must include page numbers in references)
