How to answer:
You L & D plan should be presented in the following format:
Title
Executive Summary
This is an introduction to the plan, which summarised –
What this plan is
What it is for
Overviews why it needs to be followed
Overview what will be achieved
L & D objectives aligned with organisational strategy
These must clearly align and support the business in meeting its needs. These could be set in SMART Targets to make them clear, the objectives will then include all of the key information.
You need to relate your suggested objectives to organisational objectives and explain why/how they support. I would suggest that you use a table to set these out.
Organisation Objective L & D Objective Explanation
Success indicators
You will need to identify 3 to 5 different indicators (KPI’s) –
Outcome – How many people were trained, was the target completed by the set deadline
Percentage of organisation – How many people were provided with L & D out of the whole organisation
Satisfaction of those who received L & D
Evaluation of L & D programme against organisational objectives
Return on Investment (ROI)
Return on expectation (ROE)
Timelines (implementation plan)
Key actions – what needs to be done
Resources – what will we need to implement the L & D plan (experts, technology (MS Teams), materials, key staff etc), budgets
Reporting/monitoring arrangements – When will we monitor, how will we report progress (reports, dashboards), how often will we report (daily, weekly, monthly, quaterly?)
Quality assurance – Safety, performance (considerer KPI’s, SLA’s and regulations/policy)
