Black Studies is an active inter-discipline, meaning we do not learn facts, figures, theories and ideologies just for the sake of learning: we put our knowledge into praxis, or practice. To learn Black Studies is to do Black Studies. Towards this aim, think about the readings you did for Module 1, and any discussion we had in class or online. What did you learn from them? Describe and explain fully. How can you take what you learned and put it into practice to transform your family or friends? Your community? Your country/world? Identify something concrete that you can mobilize, or move toward doing. Describe and explain fully, in an essay of no less than 500 words and no more than about 1000 words. Please use complete sentences, paragraph form, and correct grammar. Black Studies requires excellence, so give me your best. I can’t wait to read it!
