Read the two texts provided.

Find an example for each of the three exceptions to the ban on the use of force – self-defence, humanitarian intervention, terrorism. Where/when has a state used force and justified this with either self-defence, humanitarian reasons or the fight against terrorism?

For each of the three, write a paragraph of not more than 250 words, naming and explaining the case you chose and explaining why the use of force in this case would or would not be justifiable. Draw on the texts provided and write references!
