: President Trump has become the third president in U.S. history to be impeached. In your paper
address the following questions completely:
1. What does impeachment actually mean? Research the topic and briefly outline the
constitutional process and rationale for impeachment. Be sure to properly cite sources used.
2. What are the actual charges made against the President? Give one argument that favors the
charges and one argument that opposes the charges. Back up your arguments with citations.
3. If you were a sitting Senator, having looked at the arguments for and against removal, how
would you vote? This question is for your opinion, based on the arguments you have
researched.
Paper Directions:
• Your paper must be a minimum of 2 pages and a maximum of 3 pages. 1 ½ pages or 1 ¾ pages
will have 15 points deducted for failure to meet minimum length. Any paper longer than 3 pages
will have 15 points deducted for failure to adhere to maximum length assigned.
• Typed using Arial or Times New Roman font, 12pt font size and double spaced.
• All papers must include at a minimum:
o 2-3 pages of written material (not including a works cited pages)
o A works cited page including all information required in MLA format.
• Proper MLA citation rules must be followed for all parts of your submission. Points will be
deducted for failure to follow these requirements. Per current MLA standard, you do not need
to have a cover page for this assignment.
• Paragraphs should be a minimum of 3 sentences long. They should be no longer than 5-6
sentences. Points will be deducted for short and long paragraphs.
• Proofreading and spelling/grammar checking will improve your overall score. Double and triple
check your paper before submitting as you will not be able to edit it afterwards. Points will be
deducted for grammar, spelling, and/or punctuation errors.
• Within your paper, you must provide evidence and citations to support your contentions. A
minimum of 2 sources are required. Wikipedia does not count as a source and any paper that
