For your Assignment 2, you will write a 1 and ½-page bibliography that will provide 3 citations and 3 abstracts from academic books and articles that focus on single component themes taken from James Baldwin’s “Notes of A Native Son.” Please note, you can use academic sources analyzing ANY of Baldwin’s literary works.

An annotated bibliography is a list of fully referenced sources that includes short summaries of each of the cited work’s relevance to the writer’s overall project. Annotated bibliographies are used to demonstrate the breadth of writing on a particular subject. All annotated bibliographies have the same general purpose: to offer the reader a complete overview of a work’s location and contents. In order to achieve this, each annotation will include these two elements:

1) A complete citation of each of the 3 sources according to the MLA format documentation style.
2) A single paragraph, half-page summary of each of the 4 sources, called an annotation citation.
