It is our job as advanced practice nurses to advocate for the entire person; therefore, we have to ensure that culturally relevant care is implemented for the patients that we serve. In saying this, it is necessary that advance practice nurses understand the value of culturally competent care to ensure that quality centered health care needs are being delivered for every patient.
