Critique of research paper on impact of music on moods
The research paper option to earn research participation involves reading and critiquing an
unpublished research report. The purpose of this assignment is to enable you to apply concepts
learned in class to the evaluation of psychological research that has yet to be published.
To complete the critique, read the full-length APA-style manuscript that is available on
myeLearning. Then, write a 3-page single-spaced critique of the unpublished manuscript. The
critique must involve concepts covered in class, including, but not limited to critiquing the design
of the study, validity and reliability of the measures, the review of the literature, the interpretations
made, potential internal and external validity issues, etc.
Note that for full credit you cannot simply provide definitions of concepts learned in class, but
must evaluate them in the context of the research report.
The research participation: research paper critique option counts 10% towards coursework marks.
The research paper critique is due on March 31st, 2021 by 11:55pm. It must be submitted online
via myeLearning. Marks will be subtracted for late submissions at a rate of 1% per day, but any
assignment that is more than 3 days late automatically receives 0%.
If you have decided to do this research paper critique, you must also submit a plagiarism document.
The document is available on myeLearning. The plagiarism document should be submitted along with
your research paper critique. If plagiarism is detected in the written document, 0 marks will be given.
