Criminal Justice System and the Communication Barriers
Choose one of the three (3) topics below and concentrate on a specific issue within that topic, that may have a critical impact on one or more of the criminal justice system components (police, courts, corrections) in America.
Organizational Culture (consider the 4 organizational frames if you pick this topic – such as the structural, human resource, political and symbolic frames) or;
Decision Making (consider the various pros and cons for an Administrator when it comes to the decision-making process in the criminal justice system – for instance budgeting, the community, politicians, special interest groups, internal subgroups, other environmental factors such as social media, if you pick this topic) or;
Problems with Communications (consider all the barriers to communication, consider other factors that might cause problems in communicating if you pick this topic)
Locate and discuss the findings of at least three (3) current and relevant research studies (within 5-10 years) regarding your chosen topic area.
Additionally, you are to propose some ideas regarding how you would improve your chosen topic issue as it applies to a particular component of the criminal justice system.
The paper must include an introduction describing what your paper will cover and a conclusion summarizing the importance of the research studies on the specific topic, including your ideas.
The paper should be at least 1750 words in length.
You must cite and reference at least eight (8) scholarly sources for this paper, in addition most of the citations should come from the textbook: (Stojkovic, S., Kalinich, D., & Klofas, J. (2015) Criminal justice organizations: Administration and management (6th ed). Belmont, CA: Wadsworth).
