Chaucers General Prologue
Instructions
In Chaucer’s “General Prologue” we meet a cross-section of Medieval characters. This popular form was known as estates satire because the foibles, shortcomings, and ironic contradictions of various classes of society were held up for ridicule and mockery. In 2-3 paragraphs, describe which pilgrim’s portrait you find the most satirically interesting or satisfying.
