I just need two questions answered. Both questions, just two small paragraphs each. This is a Canadian Law Course.

1. In your own words, explain the principle of judicial independence. Why is judicial independence integral to a system of government in a liberal democracy? How is judicial independence secured/protected in Canada?
2. In your own words, describe the central characteristics of the “Common Law?” How does it function? How does common law relate to other forms of law in Canada? (e.g. Statute Laws and Constitutional Laws) ( This is not a reference to Common Law marriage )
