Business information systems

I work for an IT company in a business function. I am struggling to come up with a research idea which is explores something new within the subject of business information technology. Any proposed reaserch would be self funded, Please can you assist with a proposal that contains the following.

Introduction – a brief explanation of the proposed research,

Literature Review – The literature review should identify gaps in, or problems with, existing research to
justify why further or new research is required

Methodology

References

Use of the Harvard style of referencing is preferred.
