Becoming An Advocate

For this writing assignment, you will be focusing on your leadership role as an advocate. Whether you advocate for clients and their families, staff, yourself, and/or for your profession, write a 1 page paper that discusses the following:

1-Have you ever been an advocate? 2-Describe what you did? If you have not, what future situation do you see yourself in as a nurse leader where you can be an advocate?
3-What were/would be the reasons for your advocacy?
4-What personal/professional values drive someone to be an advocate?
5-Do you relate to these?
6-As you examine your future role as a nurse leader, describe one situation, area, people, or organization to which you would like to be an advocate.
7-What actions can you take to accomplish this?
