Instructions
this is a government paper
Reaction papers are one page responses to current events. This activity allows students the opportunity to research and write about current events which interest them. Students are asked to survey the news media and select a topic which corresponds to the lecture topic being taught/discussed in class.
For example, if Congress is the lecture topic, students should find a news media story relating to Congress, elected Members, legislation, and/or campaigning, or public speeches.
Reaction Papers should be thoughtfully composed, and include a brief summary of the story, why it is important, and students’ own opinion. This may be accomplished in approximately three (3) paragraphs.
