Risk Assessment

For this assignment, think about a risk assessment in any health system/organization. Answer the following set of questions, as specified in the three headings below. Do not disclose confidential or proprietary information in this paper.

The paper should be in APA format that includes an introduction, conclusion, and information in the headings specified below formatted as APA Level 1 headings. Provide the information in narrative form and answer the questions listed within the corresponding heading. Use your own words, support your information with original sources, and use APA formatted citations. The body of the paper is to be no more than four pages long (not counting the cover page, references, and appendices).

The report is to include the following information within the specific heading as designated:

Risk Management Strategy

What is the general organizational strategy for risk management? How do governance structures, risk management functions, culture (tolerance for risk), assumptions, and external/internal influences affect risk in the organization? What are the compliance issues that governance should be aware of?

Risk Assessment

After conducting your risk assessment, what do you think are the most important risks? What is your rationale for your prioritization of risks? What is your assessment of the severity and the likelihood of these risks? See FMEA Assessment attached and grading rubric.

Organizational Vulnerability

What are the underlying legal risks involved? Do you anticipate issues related to tort liability, regulatory compliance, criminal liability, or any other legal risks? How serious is the nature of these risks?
