Please read a book Memory, Grief, and Agency by Dr. Boopalan and only use that book as a reference to answer the below questions. Do not have to read full book, only chapter 2. Thank you.
1. In Dr. Boopalan’s book, he discusses four main claims about wrongs. What are these four wrongs? Please summarize the four. Then, choose one of the main claims and discuss its implications for how we understand oppression, racism, caste and freedom. You are welcome to use examples from the text or beyond in your discussion. 1 page in length
2. Dr. Boopalan challenged us in a number of ways but here I focus on two. First, he challenged us to celebrate when people, “move out of place.” What exactly does this mean? How can we imagine what celebrating moving out of place looks like in our own lives and societies? 1 page in length
Second, Dr. Boopalan challenged us to think about what our personal investments are in power and to think about local forms of oppression and in turn resistance. What can this look like to you? What critical reflections will allow us to become more aware of how power operates in our daily lives?
