Terrorism in Australia
Select a group active in the Australian landscape that promotes radical and extremist ideas.
Examine your selected group in detail then prepare a report on how the group is impacting Australian society. You should also provide a brief assessment as to how the groups influence might be neutralized.
In your answer consider the following:
What motivates individuals to be engaged with these groups
How the current political environment feeds into these groups
The cultural dimensions
The responses to incidents nationally or internationally
How these groups might evolve into the future
What does the literature offer in terms of insight and understanding
This report should be 2500 words in length.
The report is worth 25% of the overall marks for this unit.
Assignment 2 should be written according to a standard report format. Do not include a contents page or executive summary.
Evidence to support your report should be drawn from both peer reviewed literature and informal media. If you have less than 20 references you have probably done insufficient research.
