Research Paper
You will be writing a 7-10 page research paper on a topic of your choice (Is college education worth it? Why?) using at least 7 outside sources, as I want you to focus on a topic you will enjoy sharing with the rest of the class. However, the topic must be argumentative. Therefore, you are not simply offering facts or information. Instead, you are presenting and defending an argument. Remember, you only have 7-10 pages to discuss this topic, so it must be something manageable. You will not be able to discuss all aspects of a particular topic, so perhaps you will need to focus solely on the cultural, social, political, or economic aspects of an issue. In addition, you need to make sure that your topic is not so narrow that you struggle to complete the research paper.
