Despite stories of bad bosses and demotivating bureaucracy, some companies are able to come up with creative ways to keep employees satisfied. Each year the Great Place To Work Institute ranks America’s top employers in the annual “Best Companies to Work For.”

Go to the institute’s web site http://www.greatplacetowork.com/ then answer the following:

1. What is the purpose/mission of the “Great Place To Work Institute?

2. List the top five Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For (https://www.greatplacetowork.com/best-workplaces/100-best/2018)

3. Choose three companies from the list and use an Internet search to research the company. Summarize the company’s background and mission and what makes them a great company to work for.

4. How might a company benefit if they applied to appear on “a great place to work” list?

5. The Huffington Post (https://www.huffpost.com/entry/worst-companies-to-work-for_n_575b26b0e4b0e39a28ada793) came up with some of the worst companies to work for. Pick three from the link and discuss why they made the list.
