climate change / destruction of nature

Instructions
Climate change / Destruction of nature;

you need to look at it through cultural lenses: discuss/explain its cultural roots, predict potential developments, and propose possible cultural approach to tackle the problem.

The main questions you need to address are: A. how did we get here? [i.e. what cultural traits made this situation possible]; B. where are we going? [i.e. based on current cultural traits and the current socioeconomic & political context, what predictions can you make about this issue]; C. what can be done? [what could be done to impact cultural traits and redirect change in the desired direction]. Remember the examples of societal transformation discussed in class so far, and the discussions on what caused those societies to change.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU BUILD YOUR ARGUMENTATION USING Hofstede’s theory, AS WELL AS Inglehart and Welzel’s ‘Human Development Sequence’.
