What categories are included for special protection against hate in each state’s statutes? Do you think they could be more inclusive of other at-risk groups? Why or why not? What issues could arise for potential victims due to different laws in each state?
2. Research and discuss a recent act of terrorism (within the last year), either in the U.S. or international. Discuss what occurred, the law enforcement response, and what type of terrorism the incident falls under according to types discussed in Chapter 9.
