Career Counseling
The signature Assignment for this course will be an 6-10-page essay (excluding title page and reference page). You should use a minimum of 7-8 sources from the Touro library in your signature Assignment. The sources should be from the last five years and all should be peer reviewed journal articles.
For this paper you will interview a family member, co-worker, or a
friend about their career experiences. Do not identify the person by name (can use a letter to identify them).
Structure your paper as follows: Introduction, body of the paper (that includes subheadings that addresses the questions below) and a conclusion.
Address the following in the paper:
Part 1) Describe your interviewee, his or her background, and career experiences
Part 2) Describe career guidance/development in elementary, middle, and high schools. Then describe if the person you interviewed received any type of career guidance and services and describe the types of services the person received.
Part 3) Describe the way technology has impacted career development in schools. Then discuss if technology impacted the person you interviewed.
Part 4) Describe two current trends in career counseling in schools.
Then describe if these trends have or could have benefited the person
you interviewed for this assignment.

APA style format
The paper must be double-spaced with 1-inch margins and typed in 12-point Times New Roman.
Paper should be proofread for spelling and grammar mistakes.
You must cite all texts used, including page numbers to avoid plagiarism.
Your essay must have a purpose statement and conclusion.
