Chapters 7-12/ DO NOT SUMMARIZE MAKE IT PERSONAL! USE PERSONAL EXAMPLES. 4 FULL PAGES WITH A WORD ON THE FIFTH. Grading scale at bottom of instructions

You will turn in two separate papers, each of which is to consist of at least four pages in addition to a title page. On the title page, I would like you to certify that you in fact did read the entire assigned portion of the book.
The first paper is on the “Foreword,” “Introduction,” and Chapters 1-6.
The second paper is on Chapters 7-12.
In each of these papers I would like your candid reaction to what the author of this book presents. Simply pick out a couple of points and explain what you agreed with and/or what you disagreed with. This is NOT to be a summary of the book or a break-down of each of the chapters.
Please note that “A” papers will include concrete examples and applications from your personal life. The point of the paper is to open the discussion and help you think about you have handled difficult situations in the past and how to handle them better in the future.
NOTE: All papers are to be typed in Times New Roman 12 with one inch margins on the top, bottom, right, and left side of all pages. Please double space.
Every Good Endeavor reflection papers will be graded according to the following chart.

Reflections on the Reading

(Weight: 75%)
Provides in-depth and beyond the obvious analysis of the text. Conveys deep, personal applications with concrete examples.
Insightful discussion of the text. Uses personal examples to support opinions.
Adequately discusses the text, including the use of personal opinions.
Little reference to the text. Surface or illogical analysis and reflection.
Does not reference the text or offer any personal reflections.
Grammar & Style

(Weight: 25%)
Paper is virtually free of grammatical errors. Logical and compelling progression of ideas.
Contains a few minor grammatical errors.
Contains some grammatical errors.
Contains several grammatical errors which detract from the paper or a confusing arrangement of paragraphs.
Plagued with numerous grammatical errors which substantially detract from the paper or no discernable organization.
