Business promotion incorporates the communication processes to familiarize people with your company and convince them to like and buy the services or products the business offers. The use of leaflets, newsprint, and fliers are examples of the traditional tools used for business promotion. However, the current generation, the internet is a powerful promotion tool that many businesses use to reach out to many people around the globe. The internet provides platforms that are significant in a business promotion where many people can receive communications regarding the services or the products (Shyu et al., 2015). The service I will be marketing using digital media marketing tools is delivery service.
I will use different digital marketing tools for this service to make the customers aware of the service and improve sales. Firstly, I will incorporate the Search Engine Marketing so that my delivery service website to be returned at the top of search results. SEM will always be retained at the top whenever the customers looking for the service types keywords. I will create a mobile app for the service so that the customers may easily assess it and use it at their convenience. The mobile app will have the quick access buttons to ensure the customers do not struggle with getting the service whenever they need it (Starkey, 2010). Also, Social Media Marketing is another tool that I will involve to promote the service because, currently, there is a lot of traffic in social media platforms and stands out to be one of the effective ways of digital marketing.
Marketing a service differs from marketing a product in different ways. On Variability, a service is different from one person to another, and therefore, the same service provider will not offer the same service, while products may take longer to change especially when the same company provides them. Services are highly perishable than products, and therefore, marketing service offers a disclaimer because once it’s rendered, it cannot be restored, or reused. People tend to believe tangible goods than service because when marketing service is a bit difficult than marketing a product.
