Research Proposal

Tesfanew,

I am very concerned b/c whether intentional or not, much of your essay comes from the following blog post: http://anthropologistintheattic.blogspot.com/2014/07/why-your-race-isnt-genetic.html

This is considered plagiarism, and it is a very serious offense.

Not only is it much too similar to that blog post, but it also does nothing to add to the type of essay you needed to write.

Here are the directions for this essay:

  • List your initial research question(s).
  • Write out your process – exactly, and step-by-step. (Yes, you’ll say: “The first thing I did to find information was to…)
  • Explain what you learned from each source you consulted and how the information connects to your research question.
  • Your initial research should lead you to more questions. Start following those and duplicate the process: ask the question, do more research, write about it. Ask good questions and pursue them until you run out of questions.
  • Rather than writing a conclusion, end the essay with an argumentative thesis developed from the information you found on your exploratory journey. This thesis will become your working thesis for your Module 5 researched argument.

I will allow you to rewrite your essay; however, you will only be able to earn 50% of the total points as a penalty.

You have until Sunday, March 17 to resubmit this essay.

You may want to consider changing topics b/c after reviewing this essay, and your discussions, I still am not clear what you are arguing.

Please let me know if you have any questions and/or need any help.
