Assignment
Please Watch sections of at least one or two recent editions of Prime Minister’s Questions, which as of late have involved drama surrounding the confusion of Brexit–or, rather, how to handle the United Kingdom’s presumable exit from the European Union (EU), the debate over which has been going on for nearly two years.
While these have been notably dramatic, bear in mind that PMQ is nearly always colorful, often in an over-the-top fashion.
Answer the two questions below!
Now, tell me. in no more than a page-and-a-half, please (double spacing, 11 or 12 point type, one-inch margins):
1. Do you think the U.S. could borrow or learn anything from this tradition? Could you see even a well-spoken and informed president handling questioning at this level?
2. What else surprised you or stood out about this long-running UK tradition? Also, do the issues involved with Brexit sound like they have to do more with economics, nationalism, or something else?
