Environmental Regulations and Compliances

Requirements:

  • This paper, of not less than 1,000 words should be a researched based paper, written in the third person, of the salient elements of the student’s individual portion of the team assignment. This should include at least 5 peer-reviewed references and no less than 10 references overall. The word count will not include references, citations, quotes and title page and table of contents word counts. A plagiarism check will be used for papers.
  • After finishing the paper, write a summary, of not less than 450 words, highlighting the most important elements of the paper.

 

Assignment:

The research paper will be focused on the review and analysis of current issues the company faces and how they could influence and impact organizational behavior. It will include a situational analysis and implications for organizational behavioral and strategies to address potential behavioral implications for the organization. Students could consider the use of scenario planning as a tool to surface those implications for example and the likelihood of those scenario consequences. You do NOT need to introduce the company’s background.

Issue: Environmental regulations and compliances

Tata Motors operate in an environment of rapidly changing regulatory landscape, particularly environmental issues relating to emissions and fuel economy. These would have an impact on their products as well as their manufacturing facilities. Tata Motors must migrate to BS VI emission norms in India from April 1, 2020. In fact, Delhi has already started receiving BS VI-compliant fuel with effect from April 1, 2018. This entails challenges in the adaptation of technologies and innovations relating to manufacturing, testing and validation to the new standards.

 

Grading rubric:

  • Understanding of the current situation (s) the company is facing, 20%
  • Analysis and understanding of situation (s) the company is facing and importantly the resulting behavioral implications on organizational members, 35%
  • Recommendations of how best to address potential/actual organizational behavior and the rationale for those recommendations, 45%
