1. The Watson and Crick article (p. 737 – 738) is classic paper in
biology. From the article and other references (your text book)
discuss the structure and function of the DNA molecule.
2. Why do you think this paper was a significant break through for
the scientific community?
3. Since the DNA molecule is the focus of scientific research,
discuss the significance of the Human Genome Project. Be
sure to discuss biological, social, and ethical issues concerning
the HGP.
4. How have scientist used the basic DNA knowledge to perform
research in genomics and biotechnology.
You must back up your statements with references from the Internet
and books/periodicals and your textbook.
The paper should be 4-6 pages long, typed and 1 1/2 spaces with a
font size no larger than 12.
You must include a Works citied/Bibliography page. You must use
