1-14 in the Bible

The history of interpretation paper will detail the use of a particular verse in Christian exegesis across the centuries. Students must choose one verse from the reading assignment for the first week. The history of interpretation paper must make use of sources that were assigned for class readings as well as sources that were not assigned. The final version of this paper should be 1500-2100 words (approximately 5-7 pages).
The verse is Mal 1: 1-3 An oracle, The word of the Lord to Israel through Malachi. I love you, says the Lord; but you say, “How do you love us?” Was not Esau Jacob’s brother? — oracle of the Lord. I loved Jacob, but rejected Esau; I made mountains a waste, his heritage a desert for jackals.

The essay has to be written in the form of what other theologians thought about Malachi 1-14 everything about Malachi 1-14 can be considered. What other theologians theories were and use those as citations. I only need around 5 to 6 citations int he essay. The essay has to be written in MLA format. Please write the essay in plain language, something that reads basic and not that a Harvard student wrote it.
