Choose a particular biblical character you identify with, how this related to you being a hospital chaplain.
Choose a particular biblical character you identify with, rather than a specific text.
Describe and talk about why you would come to that person as your chaplain. How does your chosen character exemplify, or not exemplify, the chaplain’s core competencies of providing, facilitating, caring and advising?
How is the character like you? How are you like the character, at least with regard to one or more core competencies? How are you unalike?
It is anticipated that as you identify yourself with this biblical character, the more your personal self-understanding of chaplaincy will come alive as you learn about the motivations, gifts and needs that influence your ministry and conversations with others.
For your interactive peer response post, provide the initiator feedback while also integrating a Biblical text NOT associated with the character.
