The boy who dared

Instructions
You have now completed this Unit’s novel The Boy Who Dared. Now that you have completed the book, let’s take some time to reflect and break down portions of this novel.

Use the Book Report Example as needed.

Theme is sometimes defined as the moral of a story. Authors are trying to teach their reader a certain concept. Here are some generic examples that fall into the literary theme category that an author might try to teach their audience: cheaters never win, honesty wins the day, good guys finish first, and never give up.

For the following assignment, do a 5 paragraph essay

The specifications will be explained below.

What do you think Susan Campbell Bartoletti is trying to teach her reader with the novel The Boy Who Dared? What do you think would be the theme (moral of the story) of this novel? Write a 5 paragraph essay. In the introduction include the theme statement that you chose and three sections in the novel that support that theme. The three paragraphs that follow should include the analysis of the theme and how it applies to that section in the novel, why you think Bartoletti included it, and QUOTES (with page numbers) that directly apply to the theme you’ve chosen. The fifth and final paragraph should include your re-iterated theme, three areas of focus, what Bartoletti was trying to teach her audience, and what you’ve learned. Make sure each paragraph includes 4+ sentences in length. The following is an outline guide to help you in the submission of your essay.
