Criminal Justice – OJ Simpson Case

My professors wants us to respond to 5 questions about the OJ Simpson case with two paragraphs for each (at least 5 sentences per paragraph.) I linked the assignment instructions as well as the questions he wants us to answer below. In the last question, he asks us to discuss 3 aspects of the criminal justice system that we discussed in class during the semester that we feel was best illustrated in the OJ Simpson trial. You could talk about trial and sentencing and how reading about the arguments within the OJ Simpson case helped me understand how trial is structured and why it’s structured the way it is (for example, how the prosecution always presents first, and how the jury needs to be unanimous to convict someone.) You could also talk about court personnel, and how reading about the court personnel involved in OJ’s case helped me understand certain positions of authority within the court room and what their jobs are(for example Johnny Cochran on OJs defense team, or Marcia Clark on the prosecutors teams.) and as a final point, you can talk about circumstantial and direct evidence, and how the evidence brought forward in OJs case helped me understand these concepts(for example, even though the evidence seemed like it might be enough to convict OJ, its still up for interpretation because theres no footage of him committing the crime.) I apologize for all the typing, i just want to make sure you know what to write. Thanks so much and please don’t hesitate to ask if you have any questions on what to write about
