Instructions
after reading Velasquez write a short news article. Assume you are a reporter for the Post or Wall Street Journal and that you were tasked to interview Adam Smith, Locke and company. The article will be on a recent policy or proposed policy: for example the repeal of the estate tax (or “death tax”). Review the policy from a free market and socialist perspective. How would Smith-Lockean, Keynesian, and Marxist approach the policy? Identifying the competing values each side assumes. What are the ethical implications?
