In the body of the literature, review and discuss the studies that examine the factors that affect the delivery of aerosol therapy during non-invasive ventilation which are the following: Types of aerosol devices, Position of aerosol devices, ventilator parameters (inspiratory flow rate, ventilator mode, CPAP and BIPAP, volume and pressure control of ventilation), type of ventilator circuit, location of the leak port, type of exhalation valve, humidity, enhanced condensation, type of interface, delivery technique.
Conclude the literature review with recommendation to optimize the delivery of aerosol therapy during non-invasive ventilation.
